🛡️ What is FRIA?

A Fundamental Rights Impact Assessment (FRIA) is a mandatory evaluation under EU AI Act Article 27 for deployers of high-risk AI systems. It systematically identifies how an AI system may affect the 51 fundamental rights enshrined in the EU Charter.

Who must conduct FRIA?
• Public authorities deploying high-risk AI
• Private entities providing public services
• Any deployer of Annex III high-risk AI systems
