PALO-AI n8n architecture preview — publication status#

Release: 2.5 full-cycle developer preview Status: architecture source and evaluation assets published on the repository main branch; no npm publication, n8n verification request, or template submission is implied by this file.

This checklist is the hand-off record for the staged launch requested for PALO-AI as a governance layer for n8n. It deliberately separates assets that can be shared now from the gates that require real, repeatable n8n testing.

Installable preview packages/n8n-nodes-palo-ai/ 0.2 build/lint/package gates passed 0.2.0 adds the full-cycle node; the earlier 0.1.0 was sideloaded into n8n 2.30.7, while 0.2 still requires a fresh real-canvas validation before publication.

Release gates#

The local tarball build, sideload, registration, credential and live fail-closed gateway tests are recorded in palo-ai-n8n-alpha-test-report.md. The following gates remain deliberately closed:

  1. Resolve the security and enforcement blockers listed in the integration guide.
  2. Collect design-partner and community feedback and update the capability matrix.
  3. Configure npm trusted publishing with provenance and publish only after an explicit release decision.
  4. Repeat installation through n8n's normal community-package flow after npm publication; record catalog discovery and compatibility.
  5. Only after those results, consider a template or connector proposal. n8n verification is not promised.

Reproduce the local package check#

Use a disposable n8n profile and synthetic data. The decision-only node remains advisory. The 0.2 Governed Action node calls the PALO-owned executor path, but the workflow is still bypassable if another node retains direct target credentials.

Claim boundary#

PALO-AI is an emerging governance control plane for n8n and agentic automation platforms. This preview makes authority, policy, human oversight and evidence contracts visible for evaluation. It is not a production authorization service, a certified n8n connector, an n8n partnership, a compliance certification, or proof that every n8n tool call is intercepted.
